Bird 5017D 1000W Peak Wideband RF Power Sensor

The Bird 5017D Wideband RF Power Sensor, a remarkable device, measures True Average Power, Peak Power, and Duty Cycle with unparalleled precision. Spanning a capacity from 500 milliwatts to 500 watts average, and reaching up to a peak power of 1000 watts, it eliminates the need for field calibration and only requires annual calibration that is traceable back to the esteemed National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Leveraging these accurate readings, it adeptly calculates a host of vital metrics, including Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR), Return Loss, Reflection Coefficient, Crest Factor, Average Burst Power, and Complementary Cumulative Distribution Function (CCDF).In addition to the main unit, the package comes bundled with essential accessories for seamless operation: a detailed User Manual, VPM3 - a powerful Virtual Power Meter software accompanied by its own manual, and a 10-foot USB Cable for convenient connectivity. As part of the WPS Series, setting up this Wideband Power Sensor is a streamlined process. Please take note that (*) within the product specifications, it is indicated that when operating under temperatures exceeding 35°C or falling below 15°C, a 3.0% adjustment should be made to all specified accuracies – this adjustment also encompasses the entire “Accuracy-Peak Envelope Power” specification.

Bird designs and builds RF equipment. Our product portfolio includes spectrum analyzers, cable and antenna testers and power measurement instruments, High-precision RF streaming systems for capture, record and playback analysis. Bird’s RF equipment provides the solutions required in the constantly evolving RF market ensuring quality performance of RF delivery systems around the world. Bird has developed the hard-earned reputation as The RF Experts.
Bird makes the world's most reliable RF equipment because we have to. We've been doing it for over 80 years and have become the standard for RF communications reliability within our industry and for the military. In fact, we're often told about how original Bird products from the 1940s and 1950s are still working like they just came out of the box. Bird has become synonymous with the RF equipment category to the extent that our name gets used as its generic and stands for the category's products, whether we make them or not!
